In life there are so many road blocks. We might not be able to tell the exact story of how things changed but some how there’s the understanding of what transpired that melted our tender hearts. Who we think we are and what people claim of us can be two contradicting figures that gets us confused about life. if with our lovely faces, captivating smiles and friendly hugs we still get the Judas kiss, the hates and rejection, then there’s so much we’re yet to grasp as to why this world offers us the exact opposite of what we give.
To every cause there ought to be an effect, but the case is not so when the innocent is dented with a guilty paint. I have seen so many impeccable characters defamed by the guilty hands of the wicked. Some where framed with unimaginable evidences and the accusation choked their defense to silence. Others found themselves in dilemma and the handcuffs caused their eyes to see they just got caught in the critic’s web, Yet they have this obvious nature adorned with a virtuous stainless garment.
My heart goes out to everyone who find themselves in a mess where their innocence can hardly catch it’s breath. Yet the only hope they see is the inner withness that made them know they were never wrong anyway. Many are been treated unfairly mostly because their fairness clearly show that Jesus is the only reason why they live. Many have been advised to deny their faith if they still love their lives, because no one else knows they are innocent except the one who pulls the sword. Names have been jeopardized because they held on to the truth without compromise, however the guilty mask they wear shows everyone that integrity is what they lacked. Some are presently been held hostage by terrifying terrorist groups who watch with excitement how the lives of their victims gradually fades away. What about those locked up in prison for years while awaiting trial.
It’s with tears that I pen this down as I remember Leah’s trouble. She’s just 15 years of age abducted February 2018 by the dreaded boko haram terrorist group. Captured alongside with others who have since been released yet she’s remanded in their custody just because she refused to deny her faith in Christ. Leah Sharibu is from dapchi town, Yobe State of Nigeria. Been a year now Leah’s still missing and everyone is living as though it never happened.
Our only offense is “the guilt of innocence”. We are like that baby boy that knows no sin, yet paraded with so much guilt as his unprepared mother abortively sniffs the life off him, (Romans 8:36). We covered our faces in so much shame and wish the earth opens and lets us in, because all of man’s actions tells us we are not welcomed in this frame.
The world desires the ugly therefore beauty becomes a crime, they desire compromise, integrity must face it’s fire. No matter the pain and hate we see, we must never give in to what the world wants. Even when we’re ill-treated or maltreated amidst our guiltless ventures, we must never give up on who we are. The solution doesn’t lie in our multitude of thoughts, the truth remains, we are who we are regardless of what people think, say, or do about us. This is who we are, for Christ has made us so. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, 2Corinthians 5:21. The world cannot stand our firmness to what she calls insane, our presence makes her know there’s huge difference between good and evil. If they hated Jesus then it means they’ll hate us too, John 15:18-25.
THE POETIC PICTURE POETIC PICTURE
Who is Jesus?
A friend once asked
So many followers
Yet none to save the cross
He fed four thousand
A whip was all he got
He fed five thousand
Barabbas was still their choice
Every good in you
Will face the critic’s fire
Will wear it’s guilty mask
When Hell comes rushing
Don’t care what time it is
Provoke the heaven within
Let hades know it’s place
We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, what the world think about us is hypothetical and can only be justified by God’s conclusions. He called us the light of the world and the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13-14), this shows our relevance to this frame and if they don’t see us that way, then they will have to remain on the losing side. We are forever winners, that’s who we are. Whether in life or in death we’ll stand together.
